A Return to the Mother Within
An offering to mark my return, and reintroduction, after a season of deep transformation
It feels like time to begin again.
But not from scratch, rather, from a deeper place. A quieter, more rooted place.
A place I wouldn’t have found without letting everything soften, shift, and crack open in ways I never expected.
These past months, I’ve been in a personal winter—turning inward, growing life inside me once more, and listening closely to what’s asking to be born.
Now, as I return to my work, my community, and this space, I’m not coming back the same.
And that feels right. Because MotherHealth was never meant to stay still, it’s a living, breathing reflection of the mother within me, and within all of us.
A Reintroduction
If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been with me for a while, thank you. This is a reintroduction to me, and to the deeper pulse that now moves through MotherHealth.
I’m a health coach, yoga instructor, yoga nidra facilitator, mother to a toddler (and soon, another little one), and a guide to mothers seeking reconnection to themselves.
I grew up in Ecuador, surrounded by mountains and sky.
I lived out of a backpack to explore the world, spent time in Australia, cycled through Iceland, taught in secondary schools in the UK. I moved to Cyprus, where I found my two rescue dogs, and eventually settled in London to start a family.
But nothing changed me more than becoming a mother.
Nothing cracked me open so completely.
Motherhood stripped away everything I thought I knew about energy, identity, even time. It brought me face-to-face with exhaustion, love beyond reason, the ache of being needed constantly, and the wisdom of learning to need myself, too.
Out of that unraveling, MotherHealth was born, as a place for other mothers to come home to themselves, in the chaos, in the stillness, in the ordinary beauty of everyday life.
A Return to the Mother Within
To honour the mother is to honour the creative life force that lives through each of us—not only the mothers with children in their arms, but also the mother within us all.
The part of us that births ideas, homes, dreams, beauty, and new beginnings.
The part that knows when to retreat, and when to rise.
In this space, I don’t speak only of rest and softness, though those are vital.
I speak also of rhythm. Of knowing when to slow down, and when to move with power and clarity.
Of tending to our internal fire with devotion, so that we can meet life with resilience and intention.
This is the mother energy I return to again and again: not passive, but powerful. Not performative, but deeply alive.
And just as the Earth births life from its dark soil, so too are we asked to nurture what’s gestating within us, even when it’s invisible to the world. Even when it takes time.
This work, this community, is about honouring that cycle.
The descent, the pause, the rise, the bloom.
What This Space Is Becoming
MotherHealth isn’t just a coaching practice or a place for yoga nidra (though you’ll find both here).
It’s a gathering ground. A meeting place for women who are longing to:
Feel more rested, but also more alive.
Reclaim their energy and rhythm.
Remember the wisdom of their bodies.
Be deeply supported as they mother, lead, create, and grow.
This is not a space of pressure or perfection. It’s a space of returning.
To the mother within.
To Mother Earth.
To the cycles that move through our bodies and the seasons that shape our lives.
Whether you’re here for practices, presence, or perspective, I’m so glad you’ve found your way to this corner of the internet.
There is more to come.
More tools, more stories, more real conversations about what it takes to care for yourself while caring for everyone else.
But for now, I’m simply here.
Landing. Listening. Reintroducing myself from this new place.
And inviting you to come along.
